Advancing Community-Led Climate Action Through Scalable Tree Planting Models
I am honored to join this global community of practitioners and changemakers within the Green Learning Network CoP. I bring greetings from Uganda, where I serve as the Executive Director of the Every Birthday Tree Day Initiative (EBTDI)—a grassroots environmental restoration model that transforms birthdays into climate action moments by encouraging individuals to plant trees equal to their age.
Our approach is simple but powerful: turning personal milestones into measurable ecosystem restoration, while engaging schools, youth groups, and local communities in hands-on environmental stewardship. Through this model, we are building a culture of responsibility, where every year of life contributes directly to re-greening the planet. 🌱
I am here to connect with like-minded practitioners, explore partnership opportunities, and learn scalable approaches in ESG, climate education, and community-based restoration. I am particularly interested in collaborations around:
Large-scale tree planting campaigns
Youth climate education programs
ESG-aligned community impact models
Cross-country environmental partnerships
I look forward to meaningful exchanges and shared action toward restoring ecosystems and strengthening climate resilience across communities. 🌍
