"Is green development an oxymoron?" This article states that decarbonization will transform global production and trade patterns radically and brings new growth opportunities for the Global South. It argues that developing-country governments should look into the emerging value chains behind the industries that will produce the green outputs needed to reduce emissions. If they can carve out a role for themselves on the green agenda and manage well then they have a chance to establish new avenues for national development. Do you agree with this?
