On August 13, 2024, the Green Growth Knowledge Partnership (GGKP) hosted an online workshop titled “Outreach and Engagement with Major Stakeholder Groups for Developing National Implementation Plans.” This session brought together participants from Cambodia, Kazakhstan, Lao PDR, Maldives, Armenia, Georgia, Seychelles, Ethiopia, Kenya, Madagascar, Uganda, and China to share insights, challenges, and strategies related to engaging stakeholders in the development of National Implementation Plans (NIPs) under the Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs). Participants discussed the critical role of multi-stakeholder engagement, emphasizing the importance of outreach efforts to collect accurate data and ensure ongoing communication with key actors across various sectors.
