Dr A Ramesh Kumar is working as a Scientist in the CSIR-National Environmental Engineering Research Institute, one of the premier laboratories of CSIR, India. Dr A Ramesh Kumar holds M Sc in Chemistry and PhD degrees in Environmental Analytical Chemistry and working in the field of Environmental for more than 26 years. His specilizations include Analytical method development of trace organic contaminants using GC-MS and LC-MS, persistent organic pollutants (POPs), human health risk assessment, contaminanted site assessment and emerging contaminants.

Currently, he is the contact person of Stockholm Convention Regional Centre (SCRC)-India and engaged in GEF funded projects such as Development and promotion of non-POPs alternatives to DDT, Review and update of National implementation plan on POPs.
