
Sherika Whitelocke-Ballingsingh
Information
Sherika Whitelocke-Ballingsingh serves as the Poison Information Coordinator for the Caribbean Poison Information Network, situated at the University of Technology, Jamaica. With over two decades of experience in public health, she is a Public Health Inspector by training. Her expertise spans international public health, medical toxicology, education, and training. She contributes to both the public sector and academic institutions, with her research and professional background largely centred on chemical poisoning. Driven by a commitment to public health, she is passionate about safeguarding vulnerable populations from poisoning. She is a strong proponent of policies to protect human health from toxic exposure across Jamaica and the wider Caribbean.
