As the global community accelerates the transition toward a circular and green economy, universities have a critical role to play—not only as centers of knowledge, but as active engines of sustainable transformation.

At Green Mentors, we believe that every university can evolve into a “green engine” by embedding sustainability across:

Curriculum (green skills, climate literacy, circular economy thinking)

Campus operations (resource efficiency, zero waste, energy transition)

Research & innovation (solutions for climate, water, biodiversity, and materials)

Student engagement (future-ready, responsible graduates)

Such institutions do not just produce employable graduates—they cultivate responsible leaders for the green economy.

This transformation also aligns closely with circular economy principles:

designing out waste from campus systems

regenerating natural ecosystems

fostering innovation in sustainable production and consumption

However, the key question remains:

I just joined the forum and wanted to share what my company, Grebe Innovations, has been working on. I'm currently trying to find a manufacturer for my product concept, Warm Wall. This is an energy efficient device (~100 watts) that helps you stay warm and cozy in bed without using hi-power devices like space heaters or electric blankets. It does this by addressing the problem in a unique, direct way.

Over the past year, our consortium — Royal LC Packaging / WorldBag, Re3v, TrackOnline ♻️ developed by Bexter, Bas van den Ende, and Searious Business — supported by the Versnellingshuis Nederland Circulair Moonshot Programme — has been investigating how to develop a scalable reusable Big Bag system for Europe.

🔍 Top findings:
There is now clear evidence that reusable Big Bags are:
✔ technically feasible
✔ hygienically safe
✔ operationally workable
✔ economically attractive (with major cost-savings potential)

In short - Reuse Adds Up — and it’s ready to scale.

With PPWR reuse targets approaching, reusable systems are no longer optional. They are a strategic, future-proof solution for every industry that relies on bulk packaging.

We are now preparing the next phase: a large-scale, multi-company pilot to bring reusable Big Bags to market reality.
